Imperial Dynasty is a great neighborhood Chinese Restaurant, one of the best in Central Florida. They have an extensive menu of delicious items although my favorite dish here is the Sesame Chicken. We have had many great meals there and have never been disappointed. Their food is prepared fresh, tasty and the portions quite generous. This is one restaurant that is on my short list.

We (my boyfriend and I) live very close to this establishment and truth be told- it took a few months for us to actually try it out. The fact that we live so close has nothing to do with why we love it. It is perfect. The sesame chicken is the best in the world via my boyfriend. I usually stick to the sushi and its always superb. I would say the only downside is we don't live right next door.(get the kimchi- if ya like that sort of thing)

I love Imperial Dynasty. I probably eat Chinese food way too often but fortunately Imperial Dynasty has a super healthy and clearly composed portion of the menu if you are trying to eat healthy. I order off this part of the menu periodically and the "healthy" menu items are really flavorful and you don't feel like you are missing out at all. Because the menu is exclusive to this restaurant its a strong selling point once you have seen the variety on it. On every one of my visits, the service has been above average and very timely. Each of the other menu items that I have ordered have a unique taste and appearance compared to other local restaurants tend to look alike. My wife in particular, loves the fact that she can get some great quality sushi (her words, i don't eat water creatures) and we can squash both of our Asian cravings at once.Imperial Dynasty can be a little pricey, especially once you start adding in sushi but I see it as a nice indulgence when the normal strip mall facilities just aren't good enough (sorry Shanghai Heathrow).

Excellent fresh Chinese FoodI came to this restaurant by myself. My husband is not a fan of Chinese, so this is something that I must do on my own...I was impressed with the freshness of the food; everything was homemade with reasonable prices. I ordered beef chow fun. This was just OK. The beef was wonderful, the vegetables very fresh but the noodles were extremely dry. The portion was huge. So, you may wonder why I gave them 4 stars. Well, I ordered three entrees to go which were wonderful. One dish the beef broccoli was for my husband who truly enjoyed his dinner and stated that he would go to this Chinese restaurant. I also order the basil chicken and the shrimp fried rice. All were excellent.Bottom line, the food is extremely fresh and very tasty. The restaurant is pleasant and don't be afraid to order take-out.

Might as well get this out of my system, but this is the 3rd 2-star review for me in the recent past. On the strength of the many recommendations from friends, and their recent coronation (yet again) as Seminole's "best Chinese", we made our way to Mecca on a recent Sunday afternoon for lunch. I will not engage in a blow-by-blow, but this place on this day does not hold a candle to even ... P.F. Chang (no - we don't like them either - more on that later). For all I know, a team of Mexican short-order cooks concocted our lunch. (Lest I be accused of doing racial profiling, a team of Chinese short order cooks at a Mexican restaurant could be just as bad.) Let's just say it exemplified the worst of mass-production chop-suey houses in Any Town, America. I just got off dissing Lam's and now this review on Imperial Dynasty - maybe I'm too hard-to-please? All I know is, I sing their praises when I come across good Chinese, just like I would any cuisine. If this is "the best", let's banish Chinese cuisine from civilization altogether.Oh the P.F.Chang thing? We baby-sat our neighbor's pet on a couple of occasions over a fairly long period of time stretching over the past 2 years. Each time, they said thank-you by way of a PFC gift card. They're still sitting there in the corner. Maybe we should swap them for, you know, Ace Hardware or something. Our fear is that they will soon ask us to baby-sit again. Any suggestions, fellow-yelpers who are into manners and etiquette?

I've come here several times, there is a large variety to choose from (both Chinese and Sushi) and if you don't like a certain vegetable or have questions about any item on the menu, the staff is always quick to respond and try their best to make the accommodations that you request. The food is fresh and the portions are great for the price. I've only had one issue with my food and it was quickly rectified. As with any locally owned restaurant, the food sometimes takes a bit longer to prepare when it gets busy but I think the patience needed to wait for my food is definitely worth it.

This restaurant was the highlight of my day! Speaking as an ardent foodie and having dined at many prestigious restaurants this gem of a place really takes the cake for creative and delicious Chinese cuisine. They've implemented a sushi bar (though not Chinese, they taken care to create fresh and delectable selections) that offers mouth watering specials such as the the Coral Delight (non traditional sushi rice containing a perfect mix of masago and crunch that offers a new texture to the rice) and the Aloha (smoked salmon topped with fresh pineapple and oven toasted coconut flakes!) Of course, I must recommend their new addition to their Chinese menu: Tony's Special Eggplant w/Shrimp, an impeccable balance of non greasy crunch on the outside and preserving the succulent flavors of the eggplant and shrimp. Also be sure to try the all time favorites: Jalapeño Beef and Fantasy Sea Bass. If I'm ever in Orlando in the near future this would be the my first stop:)

We are regulars at Imperial Dynasty. We found "ID" on the Orlando Foodie awards and after years of disappointing Chinese food, completely fell in love with the delicious and affordable food! The sesame chicken is by far the best I have e v e r had. The other traditional Chinese food is great too, but Sesame chicken really hits it out of the park. We always bring our out of town guests to ID to experience "the best Chinese food ever!"I do not, however, recommend taking the Sesame Chicken to-go. While it is still delicious, it loses the crunchy yummy texture in the container on the way home.I will caution you that it is always FREEZING in this restaurant. Remember to bring a jacket and you will be very happy you did!

My favorite Chinese place in town by far. They have great sesame chicken, Mongolian chicken, and chicken and broccoli. I also enjoy an order of house fried rice from time to time. The lo mein can be a little greasy, but it isn't bad. Overall this is the best Chinese restaurant I've been to in Orlando and I am a regular!

I was so excited to finally visit this place after reading all the great reviews. And I've driven past it so many times---it's been there forever---I figured it had to be good.Yikes, was I wrong! Maybe I went to the wrong place?First off, I'm pretty sure the place hasn't been renovated since it opened. There's a definite ramshackle chic-minus-the-chic vibe going with the peeled paint and bedraggled upholstery. We started with the steamed dumplings and they were the saddest, most over-steamed little turds I'd ever seen. So gross. We then got the moo shu pork, house lo mein, and honey garlic chicken. Our server threw in free fried rice as an upgrade, which was nice. The chicken was yummy, but it was all honey and no garlic. It was good quality white meat, though, so we enjoyed it. The moo shu pork was absolutely delish. Very well flavored. The house lo mein and fried rice were blah. No flavor, no...nothing. Just mouth filler. This place wasn't the worst ever, but it was definitely not a good as everyone says. I won't be back.

Of our 5 dinners, three were disappointing. The lemon chicken tasted as though it was sweetened with an artificial sweetener. Yuck. It was in edible. The pork chow fun had very little pork , and the wide soft noodles were bound together into a lump of noodles. Maybe it sat too long waiting to be delivered. The noodles also lacked sufficient flavor. The sesame chicken was well prepared, but the dish of 5 chicken cutlets could have used something to dress it up, like a couple bits of broccoli. The chicken in the Hunan chicken was rubbery, spongy 1/8 inch rectangles that must have been from processed from Sysco or other. It was like the shopping mall variety Chinese food. The server was told about the lemon chicken, but made no offer to replace it or remove it from the bill. The portions were large, and much was left on our plates because nobody would eat it if we brought it home.At 6:30 pm, the house Beringer wines were 2 for 1, as was the draft Kirin and Bud. When we left at 7:45, there was a half hour wait time.We will not return.

This place rocks!!! My friend and I went to dinner here last night; she highly recommended it and it was my first time. We went around 7:30pm on a Tuesday night. Our server, Jay, was extremely friendly and provided good service. We ordered pan-fried vegetarian dumplings as an appetizer (yummy)! For the main course, my friend ordered Veggie Udon; they didn't have Ma Po Tofu on the menu but I asked the server if they could make it (and without pork), and they were able to. I also asked if they could bring chili oil with the dumplings, and they did that happily too! The dumplings were $5.95, but they didn't bring out 4 or 5 like other restaurants do...there were at least 10 on the plate if not more. While you wait for the food, someone comes around and brings you fried wontons with duck sauce so you don't go too hungry, lol. The atmosphere of the place was nice -- very clean. What's great is that here, you get A LOT for the money! The check was only $24.95 for two huge dinner entrees and appetizer (we both ordered water). My friend and I both had to take a box home. Since I asked for my Ma Po Tofu without pork (as it's traditionally made), I think they doubled up on the tofu...it seemed like there was at least two blocks of tofu in the entree! Both of our entrees tasted delicious. This is now one of my favorite good Chinese restaurants in town (my other two are Ming's Bistro and Tasty Wok on Colonial). The best I've tried in the Altamonte/Longwood/Casselberry area so far. They have a good variety to select from too.I definitely will be coming here again!

Am I "jaded," or has Chinese cuisine become jejune, because of the influx of other Asian cuisines?I dined with seven others at Imperial Dynasty for lunch to celebrate a dear fellow worker's graduation from UCF. It was just over 29 hours ago, but I have already forgotten what I ordered! I do know that along with my lunch special, I ordered two pieces of Spicy Tuna Roll. Now, I'm not one who thinks it's a sin for a non-Japanese restaurant to serve sushi, but this was grocery-story grade.I didn't have the feeling that my seven fellow diners were in awe of their meals; plus, the service was a bit tenuous.I respect the opinions of those who have given this Longwood restaurant rave reviews. But, I just didn't feel that it was worth the drive to Longwood from Orlando.

God knows it's tough to get solid Chinese food in Florida, but this place is stellar.I ordered some egg drop soup which was quite tasty, and for my entree I ordered chicken lo mein.I specifically requested they make the dish "very spicy" and they did not disappoint with the inclusion of several little peppers and their seeds which really turned up the heat. There's nothing worse than requesting hot/spicy food and receiving it bland, which I sadly find happens often. They also provided a fairly large portion, which became not only that night's dinner, but the following day's lunch. As a random bit of FYI, I used to live in northern Vermont, and was surprised to learn that these are the same people that ran the Imperial Dynasty in St. Albans (if you should happen to be familiar with the area).

In fact, we moved from Altamonte to Deland 3 years ago and we have been known to drive all the way to Longwood to pick up an order to go, that is how good it is! They have excellent food and service. The restaurant decor is nice and it's always clean as well. The owners are routinely on the premises making sure all is in order with your meal and that the service is up to your complete satisfaction. We would never go anywhere else for Chinese!
